Welcome to Black Willow Tattoo
Hi, I'm Maddie Coffman
Welcome to my private tattoo studio, located in the heart of downtown Missoula. In this space, not only do I enjoy creating whimsical and weird designs, I also love to offer an inviting and calming atmosphere where you can come as you are.
Tattoos have the capacity to be many things, beyond the design itself. They can be healing, grounding, and embodying. I aim to provide tattoo services that can encompass all of these things, and assist clients through self-expression.

A welcoming space for all, Black Willow Tattoo is a unique private studio located in the reclaimed Baptist church on Pine and Woody. Here you can be surrounded by old architecture and a plethora of plants.
The Black Willow Style

In my studio, I specialize in a unique fine-line etched style, a craft fueled by my passion of intricate details of medieval texts, carved prints, and vintage illustrations. My designs often echo the whispers of the natural world, bringing to life the deep symbolism and abstract patterns that resonate with the soul.
I pour my heart into each piece, crafting tattoos that are not just adornments but a canvas of stories, a harmonious blend of the alternative and the natural, etched in ink, forever.

Hi there, I’m Maddie Coffman, the human behind Black Willow Tattoo. Nestled in the vibrant surroundings of Missoula, my private studio is a sanctuary where art meets individuality, and where the alternative intertwines gracefully with the beauty of the natural world.
My journey into the world of tattooing was kindled by a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of art therapy. I envisioned a space where people could adorn their bodies with art that resonated with their souls, symbolizing a powerful moment that they can then take with them forever.
